After an extensive analysis by highly trained engineers it was determined that the membership will not all fit on Kelli's boat or D Dock. There was a side concern raised how far it was from the club bar as well. Therefore, Mexican Luau at the Club House not D Dock!
Sat. June 10th: Marina Day Hosted by D Dock Kelli Lyon

2017 Socials off to a Great Start!!
Our first Social of the Season began on May 27th. Hosted by Susan Young and F Dock HBYC members. The turnout filled our clubhouse and patio with members and guests. The estimated attendance was 165 people, which also produced new membership applications. The food was enjoyed by all and all had a good time. If this is any indication of the enthusiasm by our membership the upcoming Socials will surely be as successful as well. It was great to see our members having a good time at our Clubhouse.
Over forty HBYC members attended the Commodore's bunch at the beautiful Sandusky Yacht Club. The brunch started with a warm welcome from Commodore George Harizal and Rear Commodore Harvey Rickert, who also planned the event. The fantastic buffet started with Bloody Mary's and ended with SYC's famous Bread Pudding. Gorged members were then treated to an informative and passionate presentation by Larry LeFleur about Liberty Air Museums restoration of a World War II era PT boat. The Liberty Aviation Museum's passion in preserving this relic is truly inspiring. Click the highlighted text to plan your trip to the Liberty Aviation Museum this summer.
Special thanks to Susan Young from F Dock who is hosting our first cocial on May 27th. Check out the details by clicking on this text: Easy On the Cook Flyer
Mr. Larry LeFleur from the Liberty Aviation Museum located at the Erie Ottawa Airport in Port Clinton, will be presenting the story their PT 728 restoration and her future. Please remember to Contact R\C Harvey Rickert so you will be placed on the reservation list.
This year's COMMODORE'S BRUNCH will be held at the Sandusky Yacht Club on May 21st from 11AM to 3PM. Special thanks to RC Harvey Rickert for getting this event coordinated. Check out the socials page or click here to get to the sign-up form: Commodore's Brunch Sign-up

If you are reading this post, then obviously you are on the new HBYC Website. First off, we need to thank Mike Petsch for his years of support and creativity providing a website that helped the club grow. Last year Mike asked for some help and Kevin Irwin volunteered.
During the transition of webmaster responsibilities from Mike Petsch to Kevin Irwin, it was determined that the club needed to refresh the technology driving the site. The Bridge commissioned a new site that would be mobile device friendly, easily display photos, and maintain a password protected members only area. The goal was to keep it simple and provide an informative and interactive site for potential new members as well as our existing membership.
Check out the new site - click on highlighted links to navigate to pages or see documents. Keep in mind new content and pages are still being developed, so never fear the Ships Store will appear! The Members Only site is still protected by that same slimy password, but no special clicking is needed! Feel free to comment below or send corrections, pictures, or ideas to Kevin Irwin our new Webmaster. Click on the highlighted text to send him a message.
